Heart shaped Italian art glass smoking ashtray.
Hand-made in Italy (Murano, Venetian). Thick blown cased glass with ample silver aventurine and rows of concentric bubbles trimmed in vivid pink. Superb late 1940s to 1950s Murano styling.
Measures 5″ long, 4 1/4″ wide and 2″ tall. Weighs 1 1/4 lbs. Nice deep bowl to catch the ashes. Has one large rest for fat cigars and one thin rest for smaller smokes. Sits on a polished flat base. Makes a lovely candle holder or catch-all when not in ash service.Circa 1940s – 1950s. Elegant Italian decor.
